Meet The Face Behind The Blog

Get To Know Me

Hello everyone! Welcome to the world of everything fitness and sports (to be frank it’s mostly hockey). I am Dwight Robinson, a 42 year-old father of two and physical therapist hailing from the wonderful city of Boston. Born and raised in the city, I’ve always found myself surrounded by energy and passion for sports that this city is known for.

When I was a child, hockey was more than just a game for me, it was a way of life. The thrill of the ice, the sportsmanship, and just the joy in scoring a goal across the field made every moment playing worth it. But sometimes, life has a way of knocking you to the side. A medical scare in my family pulled me away from the sport.

This was a point in my life when I decided to dive headfirst into learning more about the human body. As a physical therapist, I had the privilege to work with people from all walks of life, and lead them to a healthier lifestyle. Just witnessing the power of healthy lifestyle changes and exercise cements my goal to promote wellness.

But let’s go back for a bit. Why “It Happened in Hockey”, you may ask? Maybe it’s the sway of the city I grew up in, or maybe it’s just the thrill of the sport that kept me coming back. Or maybe it’s the discipline, teamwork, and persistence that this sport teaches. Whatever it may be, it has shaped me into the person I am today in my personal and professional life.

Now, as a father of two, I’ve made it my goal to instill the same love for sports and fitness in my kids. We spend our weekends on the ice, in the park, and going on outdoor adventures.  What’s important is to find a balance between work, family, and staying active.

So, why did I start this blog? It’s simple. I wanted to share my love and passion for sports and fitness. My goal is to create a space where people at all levels of their fitness journey can find support. I’ll be sharing tips, stories, and any new information on everything from hockey-drills to nutrition hacks. And maybe, a little bit of humor and a whole lot of heart.

You see, the key to sticking to a healthier life is having more fun and doing it together. So, lace up those roller skates, grab your water bottle, and let’s get moving!
